Many, many times over 46 years I have seen witnesses/defendants overcome with real emotion and break down in tears. My experience has seen the person actually stop speaking, because they cannot speak, and look down......clearly working hard to contain the emotion. And then when they're composed.......proceed. Not here. The young killer was performative. He did not miss a beat in his narrative. Informatively, it came at a point in his evidence when he was speaking of three others, two of whom he killed, coming at HIM as he pointed the AR 15 he carried over the state line. One psychologist commentator ventured as to an arrogant sociopathic personality. No surprise. This is the land of Trump. The disease travels as was seen at Parliament grounds on Tuesday. I'm heartened by the unmistakeably "Gimme No Bullshit Brother" entry of Hone Harawira into the debate around vaccination in Aotearoa.........and the wickedly presumptuous notion that freak-out conspiracy theorists, including a vainglorious Pakeha nutter driving a "mint Chrysler" FFS, can freely colonise other tangatawhenua marae and rohe.
