The level of vituperation against this particular iteration of sanity is on one hand laughable and on the other, deeply disturbing. It seems that four years of Donald Trump has given permission to the shameless expression of irrational hatreds in countries far beyond the US of A. I mean, bicycles? BICYCLES???? Ye gods.
I don’t think I’ll ever forget the feeling of camaraderie, mischief and pure joy as we sailed onto the bridge on Sunday. It was such a lovely atmosphere - can’t wait to do it again in the summer. Great MC-ing job there Dave. You set a tone of quiet, yet determined insistence. It’s time.
Great to see you again after meeting you at the top of the bridge 12 years ago. Hopefully it won’t be that long before I can legally shake your hand atop the harbour bridge (or on the underwater travellator).
