Seems a shame Seymour has to wait until Friday to collect his Dismal Award. But who knows, perhaps he will have earned a second or third by then? What a dick.
People who follow ACT's libertarian philosophies are admitting failure by even standing for parliament. In their infantile minds, everything should be privatised so the ubermenschen of the market can make the killing Ayn Rand promised them. But deep down, they seem to realise they are not highly talented at much at all, and so they try to infiltrate the government, where they sabotage any attempts to do any actual good. If they worship the market so bloody much, they should chance their arm in it rather than participating in government, which they consider the root of all evil.
Do not expect anything useful from Rimmer. By his own definition, he's a failure. Their market fetishism and entry into parliament is like a sex addict who sticks to worshipping at the altar of Onan. And yes, I am saying that Rimmer is a bloody wanker.
The rage in that "patronizing prick" comment. What on earth is that about? Jealousy for your writing? That you are "well known"? I don't get it.. How different people are in my corner of the Dominion.
Definitely sharing that dogged, jaded feeling. Posted photos of "The hibernation of Northcote Point connection zones" on my Facebook page this morning. Feeling flat (or the lack of a flat white?) - also because we lost Billy Apple today.
It's a pity that those quite rightly calling out Seymour are regurgitating his tweet with the inclusion of the access code. A little redacting would have been in order - not that I expect any of your always honourable readers to take advantage.
On overseas holidays, my Irish wife just has to bite her lip constantly as friends and family back home talk about their trips to Portugal, Greece etc while a pandemic rages.
Loved the helmet video, I had also been thinking that the old mask under the chin is like biking with your helmet on the handlebars

I looted and shared the Danish public health message. Seemed fitting, somehow. Thank you!

Totally hitting the spots, as usual David. Another insightful and entertaining read. You are indeed a blessing.
Any chance of something a bit more upbeat, please? 🥺
