All good - except I don't think a single lane would be wide enough to accommodate walkers and riders going in both directions. Walkers won't use it if they are 'molested' by bike riders. Bike riders won't like it if their pathway is cluttered with walkers. See:

Also, a point that seems to be lost by the ute-o-philes:

Farmers and tradies for whom it is essential to buy a (tax-deductible) brand new ute will be making a fair and reasonable contribution to climate change mitigation because their levies make buying an (expensive) EV more accessible to those for whom it is a suitable mode of transport.

Democrats in the US have just proposed penalising countries that do too little to address climate change. It’s coming for us. Doing nothing is not an option.
