The Hotel Intercontinental! I was 10 when we stayed there, when we left Auckland for Christchurch. My sister and I wore hot pants that our mother had made and I heard some people speaking French.
Dear Uncle Dave, Bugger! (To quote Crumpy - or was it the dog?) Was in Feilding on Saturday - aka “10th of July, this year” - but didn’t know about the selfie. I did, though, think of you. (Truly). Coach House Museum. Only an hour away so will do it next time. (Won’t be travelling in a ute, I promise!) signed, Pop up Leader’s nemesis
I went to Feliding once, on the way to Apiti. I asked for directions out of the square, carefully pronouncing Ahpeetee, to be met with an aggressive "A pity" and a sneer. It still haunts me several years later.

Yep. That chimes for sure. I write affectionately about the place but I also loathed aspects. I need to get to writing more about it
