Hope it goes well. It's a huge job as Cyclone Bola showed in 1988 and cyclones Hale and Gabrielle last year. Climate change needs a long term response

Just read your tourism piece from 2020 and was nodding in agreement - amused then to find a comment from 2020 me telling you so! It occurs to me that the current Government has, in many ways, moved us away from those lofty ambitions. Fast tracking mining and fossil fuel exploration, while defunding DOC, is a long way from the kind of holistic eco-tourism that you proposed back then. So good on you for this latest initiative - if the CoC won’t think beyond their wallets, local activism becomes essential.
